The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on the night of Sunday, May 12, 2024, I-49 northbound at Exit 206 (I-20 interchange) in Shreveport, Caddo Parish will be reduced to one lane.
This lane closure is scheduled to take place from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and is necessary to allow for repairs to the crash attenuator at this location.
A crash attenuator, also known as an impact attenuator, is a device intended to reduce the damage to structures, vehicles, and lessen injuries to motorists resulting from a collision. These devices are designed to absorb the colliding vehicle’s energy.
