Volunteers for Youth Justice (VYJ) is proud to announce the launch of our TASC School Uniform Drive, a community-wide effort to ensure every child in Caddo Parish and surrounding school districts returns to school feeling confident and prepared.

Now through the start of the school year, donation bins are available at convenient locations throughout the city, and we are calling on the community to donate new and gently used school uniforms in all sizes. These items will directly support children and youth served through VYJ’s Truancy Assessment and Service Center (TASC), a program that helps families overcome barriers to school attendance.

“We know that when children have the basic items they need—like proper uniforms—it can make a world of difference in their confidence, attendance, and overall success in school,” said Alex Person, Director of Community Engagement at VYJ. “This drive is one small way our community can come together and make a big impact.”

How to Help:

  • Drop off uniforms (new or gently used, all sizes) in donation bins around the city:
    • SFD Station 3 1421 E. 70th Street
