Willis Knighton Health (which includes North, South, Bossier, Pierremont and Rehabilitation locations) has
been recognized as a High Performing Hospital for 2025-26 by U.S. News & World Report. It is the highest
performing hospital in Northwest Louisiana.
The annual Procedures & Conditions ratings are designed to assist patients and their healthcare providers in
making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or elective
procedures.
In its most recent listing Willis Knighton earned a “High Performing” rating for 11 adult procedures and
conditions: colon cancer surgery; gynecological cancer surgery; leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma; heart
bypass surgery; heart failure; pacemaker implantation; stroke; hip replacement; hip fracture; knee
replacement; and spinal fusion. Earlier in the year Willis Knighton had been designated as a high performing
institution for maternity care (uncomplicated pregnancy).
“We’re honored to see our healthcare team’s hard work recognized,” said Jaf Fielder, president and CEO of
Willis Knighton Health. “This is a true reflection of the dedication and care our doctors, nurses, allied health
professionals, and support staff bring to their work every day. We’re always striving to improve and provide
the very best for our community—offering cutting-edge technology and compassionate care to the people we
serve.”
For the 2025-26 ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,400 hospitals nationwide in 15 adult specialties and
22 procedures and conditions; only one third of them earned an award. U.S. News analyzed each hospital’s
performance based on objective measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications
and level of nursing care.
