The Commission for Women of Bossier City successfully hosted Inspiring Women Week 2025, raising crucial funds to support the soon-to-open Ronald McDonald House Shreveport-Bossier. The annual event, which celebrates the achievements of women while giving back to the community, featured two key gatherings—the Inspiring Women Breakfast on March 19 at Margaritaville Resort and Casino and the Inspiring Women Luncheon on March 26 at Louisiana Downs Casino & Racetrack.
Proceeds from the week’s events were donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas & North Louisiana (RMHCAR-NLA), further supporting their Where Hope Has a Home campaign, which has raised over $9.2 million toward the construction of the new facility.
North Louisiana Mission Director Lori Moore expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming support from the community.
“The generosity and commitment we’ve seen throughout Inspiring Women Week are truly inspiring,” Moore said. “The funds raised will go directly toward ensuring families of hospitalized children have a comfortable place to stay during difficult times.”
Scheduled to open in August 2025, the Ronald McDonald House Shreveport-Bossier will provide temporary housing, meals, and essential support services for families traveling to the area for their child’s medical care.
The event brought together local leaders, business professionals, and community advocates, all rallying around the theme of empowering women while strengthening local families in need. Attendees heard from inspiring speakers, engaged in networking opportunities, and participated in fundraising initiatives that directly contributed to the cause.
With the success of Inspiring Women Week 2025, the Commission for Women of Bossier City continues its mission to uplift the community and create lasting positive change.
