The Easton Hoyt Archery Shooters Association Pro/Am Tour returns to Camp Minden April 24-27.

Hosted by the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission with Visit Shreveport-Bossier, and the Webster Parish Convention and Visitors Commission, the event will bring thousands of archers and their families to Northwest Louisiana.

The Bossier Civic Center will host the Pro Pressure Point Shoot Down, where top-ranked archers compete in a thrilling finale. April 26 at 3 p.m.

The 2024 Archery Shooters Association Pro/Am Tour generated an estimated $2.4 million in economic impact for the Shreveport-Bossier area through visitor spending. The event attracted 1,237 shooters from 41 states and three countries, with 89% coming from out of state. Louisiana was proudly represented by 136 shooters.

“Hosting this event for the fourth year gives Shreveport-Bossier a chance to showcase our outdoor beauty and what makes our region special,” said Stacy Brown, President and CEO of Visit Shreveport-Bossier. “With over 1,200 registered shooters and their families from around the world, it’s a great opportunity to boost our economy while giving visitors a taste of our vibrant culture, local cuisine, and unique attractions.”

In preparation for the 2025 tournament, the following significant enhancements have been made to Camp Minden to elevate the experience for both competitors and spectators, who can view the competition for free:

  • New access roads and five 20-foot bridges improve mobility across ranges and spectator areas.
  • Electrical and water hookups are now available for vendors, with freshwater access and sewage dump stations for campers.
  • A new 60-yard lane offers more space for professional archers, with challenges across various terrains.
  • The kids’ range has been moved farther from the road for improved safety during youth competitions.

Camp Minden continues to invest in infrastructure and safety developments, including debris clearing, drainage improvements, and upgraded internet connectivity at the tournament village. These upgrades not only improve the event experience but also reinforce Camp Minden’s readiness to serve as a critical response site in emergency situations.

Media are invited to visit Camp Minden on Thursday, April 24, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Interviews will be available with event organizers.

This event is free and open to the public, with prime viewing opportunities at Camp Minden on Friday and Saturday, and at the Bossier Civic Center Saturday afternoon/evening for the Pro Pressure Point Shoot Down finale. Sunday will still feature shoot outs, perfect for those who missed the action earlier in the weekend. A valid driver’s license is required for entry.
