The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office is proud to launch an exciting new event with a purpose, the first annual “Kids Shoot for Youth Charities.” This youth sporting clay competition is more than just a day of fun at the range; it’s a chance to make a real difference in the lives of children across our community and beyond.

The competition will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Bossier Sheriff’s Youth Shooting Range, 2860 Old Plain Dealing Road, Plain Dealing, LA.

Proceeds will benefit five incredible organizations devoted to children’s health, safety, and well-being:

· St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

· March of Dimes

· Shriners Children’s Hospital

· The Gingerbread House Children’s Advocacy Center

· Easter Seals

Sheriff Julian Whittington said, “We are honored to sponsor this event to benefit these outstanding organizations. It is a great way for our young people to come together, enjoy some friendly competition, and know that their efforts are supporting children in need.”

The shoot will be limited to the first 15 teams that secure a spot by submitting a completed registration form and entry fee. There are also limited spots for individual shooters. In addition to team entries, sponsorships and donor opportunities are available for businesses, organizations, and individuals wanting to support the cause.
