The Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers defeated Angelina 10-0 in a five-inning run-rule victory on Tuesday. BPCC took advantage of eight walks from the Roadrunners’ pitching staff while collecting seven hits to cruise to the shutout win.

Brody Bower was outstanding on the mound, throwing a complete-game shutout. He allowed just one hit and struck out three to earn the victory.

Offensively, Gianluca Montanaro went 1-for-3 with a three-RBI double. Bryson Pierce added a 1-for-2 performance with an RBI double, and James Reina went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Brandon Levy finished 2-for-2 with three RBI, capping the game with a solo home run in the fifth inning that triggered the 10-run rule and extended his hitting streak to 14 games.

The win improves the Cavs to 23-14 on the season. BPCC will travel to Angelina on Friday for a doubleheader to complete the series.
