Families across Bossier City and the surrounding area will have an opportunity to enjoy an evening of fall festivities, entertainment and community activities when Cypress Run Child Development Center hosts its annual Fall Festival on Friday, Oct. 23.

Presented by Johnson’s Furniture, the festival will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at Cypress Run Child Development Center, 119 Bayou Crossing in Bossier City. Admission is free, and the event is open to families throughout the greater Bossier community.

The festival will feature activities for children of all ages, including a haunted bus, hayrides, bounce houses, princess character meet-and-greets, face painting and carnival games operated by Cypress Run staff.

Other attractions include the Hive & Harvest Pumpkin Patch, an animal ambassador experience from the Shreveport Aquarium, and appearances and giveaways featuring the Chick-fil-A mascot.

Mallory Elliot, center director of Cypress Run Child Development Center, said the festival offers an opportunity for families to enjoy time together while connecting with local businesses and organizations.

“We are thrilled to share our facility with the community and provide a place for families to come together for quality family fun. This event is about bringing people together while celebrating the local businesses, vendors, and organizations that make our community special. As a family-owned and operated center, we look forward to creating a memorable evening for families, local businesses, and the Bossier community as a whole,” Elliot said.

Food vendors scheduled to participate include Taqueria El Eden II, Downsouth Dawgs, Sweets by Davenport and The 1918 Project. Guests also will be able to shop with local boutiques and small businesses, including Jaded The Boutique, Benton Bling & Things, The Hooked Dragon, The Prissy Pelican Boutique, Penelope’s Unique Boutique, Hay Day Mercantiles and Front Door Vibes.

Additional vendors, community partners and activities will be featured during the event. Local businesses, organizations and family service providers will also have opportunities to connect with attendees and share resources.

Organizers say the festival is intended to provide family entertainment while supporting local businesses and strengthening relationships among families, community organizations and area service providers.

Cypress Run Child Development Center focuses on providing a nurturing, educational and family-centered environment for children. Through community events, enrichment opportunities and partnerships, the center also works to build connections with families and the surrounding community.

The Cypress Run Fall Festival will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at 119 Bayou Crossing in Bossier City. Admission is free, although some attractions and activities may require tickets or wristbands.
