Bossier City is excited about “Home for the Howl-idays” This program is for that family that Love Animals but not ready to commit to full-time pet ownership. You can help the animals of Bossier City Animal Control and give holiday fostering a try! What is a Holiday Foster? A person or family that takes an animal home for the holidays for a pre-set amount of time. Who can I foster? You can foster the adorable puppy or dog of your choice. You can even foster more than one if you like. What is included? We will provide food, collar, leash and a toy. We can also assist with a crate or comfy bed. When can I take my dog home and how do I return him or her? All holiday fosters will be ready for pick up on Wednesday Nov. 27th between 12:00 and 4:00 p.m. All fosters with crate and beddings should be returned on Dec. 2nd between 10a.m. and 4:00 p.m. What if I decide to keep my foster? We LOVE Foster fails. If you decide your foster is the perfect fit for your family let us know and we will gladly change the foster to an adoption. How does this help? Holiday fosters are beneficial for both shelter animals and shelter employees. It gives our animals much needed time out of their kennels and the shelter, and it allows for employees to spend more time with their families.
