BPCC Press Release
The Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers continued their hot start to the season with a doubleheader sweep over Southern Arkansas Tech on Wednesday, winning 3-1 in Game 1 and rallying for a 6-5 victory in Game 2. The wins push BPCC’s current win streak to seven games as they improve their early-season momentum.
Game 1: Pitching Dominance Seals Low-Scoring Affair
Game 1 was a pitchers’ duel with both offenses struggling to generate consistent momentum. The Cavaliers scratched across just enough runs to secure the victory.
Cole Patrick got the start on the mound for BPCC, delivering three solid innings while allowing only one run. The offense provided timely hits when it mattered most: Hayden LeBleu came through with a clutch two-out RBI single, while Jacob Poletto contributed two hits, including an RBI triple that helped build the lead.
Chase Randall closed the door in relief, earning his third save of the season with 1 1/3 scoreless innings to preserve the win.
Game 2: Late-Inning Heroics Complete the Comeback
Game 2 delivered drama, as the Cavaliers trailed 5-4 entering the bottom of the eighth inning before mounting a comeback.
Hayden Peshoff was the hero of the night, delivering a two-run line drive up the middle with two outs to plate the go-ahead runs. Peshoff had a big day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs. James Reina matched him with three hits, including a solo home run. Braylin Harris chipped in with two hits to support the rally.
On the mound, Hudson LeGrow set the tone with four scoreless innings to open the game. Zeke Wall came on in relief and was lights-out over the final 2 2/3 innings, surrendering no runs and earning the win.
The Cavs improve to 7-2 and travel to Camden, Ark., on Friday to compete the home and home doubleheaders against SAU Tech
