The road to the NJCAA Division I Baseball World Series runs through Bossier Parish Community College. For the first time in program history, BPCC Baseball will host the NJCAA Region XIV North Division I Baseball Tournament, set for May 8–11 at Cavalier Baseball Field on BPCC’s Bossier Campus.

In a landmark achievement, BPCC clinched the Region XIV North title, marking the program’s first conference championship in 25 years and its first-ever Region XIV title. The Cavaliers sealed their place in the history books with a doubleheader sweep over Angelina College, capping off the regular season at 34-16 overalland 19-11 in conference play. As Region XIV North champions, BPCC earns the right to host a four-team regional tournament on its home turf. Postseason play begins Thursday, May 8, with the Cavaliers squaring off against Alvin Community College at 1 pm, followed by Tyler Junior College versus San Jacinto College at 5 pm.

“Hosting this tournament is a proud moment for our program, our players, and our fans,” said Cavaliers Head Coach Bobby Gilliam, Jr. “Region XIV is one of the toughest conferences in the country, and after grinding through a highly competitive season, our guys have earned the chance to compete on our home field for a shot at the World Series. We’re incredibly proud of the work this team has put in all year, and we’re excited to welcome the best in the region to BPCC.”

The Cavaliers enter the tournament riding a wave of momentum and a hunger to continue rewriting program history. With a 34-win season and a conference title already in hand, BPCC is poised to make a deep postseason run—and noise on the national stage. Adding to the celebration, BPCC Baseball collected a haul of postseason honors. Head Coach Bobby Gilliam, Jr. was named Region XIV North Coach of the Year, and Garett Blanchard was honored as the Region XIV North Pitcher of the Year. Competing teams are looking to secure a berth in the upcoming Super Regional, where the winner of the North Tournament will face the South tournament winner in a ‘best 2 of 3’ series. The winning team will advance to the NJCAA Division I Baseball World Series, held May 24-31 at Sam Suplizio Field in Grand Junction, Colorado.
