The Parkway Panthers completed a District 1-5A sweep of Natchitoches Central with a 4-3 victory Tuesday at Parkway.
In another 1-5A game, Haughton defeated Huntington 18-0 at Haughton.
Elsewhere, Providence Classical Academy defeated Castor 15-1 at Castor and Bossier fell to Doyline 17-7 at home.
At Parkway, the Panthers led 4-2 through six innings. The Chiefs cut the deficit to one on a double with two outs in the top of the seventh.
With runners at first and second, Eli Hill took the mound and induced a groundout to end the game.
Parkway starter Ryan Waits allowed four hits, struck out two and walked four in 6 2/3 innings.
Dallas Loche went 3-for-4 with a triple and double. Tristan Sedberry went 2-for-3 with a double.
Parkway (13-16, 4-9) visits Byrd Thursday at 6 in the first of its final two-game district series. Natchitoches Central dropped to 19-12 and 7-6.
At Castor, PCA took advantage of eight hits and 10 walks in the five-inning game.
Holden St. Pierre went 2-for-3 with three RBI. David Mobley went 2-for-4 with a double.
Starting pitcher Benton Axton had a triple. Brennan Gutman and Lake Lytle had one double each.
Axton gave up two hits, struck out seven and walked two. Lytle pitched a perfect fifth.
PCA (9-15) visits North Webster Wednesday at 5. Castor dropped to 7-10.
At Bossier’s home field, Jojo Rachal and Mike Thomas had one double each. Bradley Simmons had two RBI. Jaylan Bacon drew three walks.
Bossier (7-8) visits North DeSoto Wednesday at 6 in the District 1-4A championship game. Doyline improved to 8-12.
