The Airline Lady Vikings, Benton Lady Tigers and Parkway Lady Panthers won District 1-5A games Tuesday.
Airline defeated Haughton 6-1 at Haughton, Benton downed Evangel Christian 8-0 at Evangel and Parkway defeated Huntington 18-0 at Huntington.
Elsewhere, Providence Classical Academy fell to Loyola 11-2 at Loyola and Plain Dealing lost to North Webster 18-3 at Plain Dealing.
At Airline, the Lady Vikings led 3-1 through four innings then added one in the fifth and two in the sixth.
Tanesciya Thomas went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Madalynn Shortridge went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Taylor Smith struck out six.
Haughton’s Avery Smith went 2-for-2 with a double. Clara Shaffer had a double.
Airline (15-10, 4-3) visits Byrd Wednesday at 6 in a makeup game. Haughton (14-16, 5-3) hosts Many Thursday at 5.
At Evangel, Bayleigh Moniz struck out 15 with no walks in 6 1/3 innings. She allowed three hits.
Makaylyn Lawrence went 3-for-4. Audrey Stark went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Callie Turner had a double.
Benton improved to 13-13 overall and 6-1 in district. Evangel dropped to 12-13 and 5-3.
At Huntington, Madison Menard went 3-for-4 with four RBI in the four-inning game. Izzy Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Maci Paul went 2-for-2 with three RBI. Ma’Kenzie Waling went 2-for-2. Zoey Carlton and Zoey Horn had one double each.
Katie Giovengo and Macee Thompson combined on a no-hitter. Giovengo struck out two in one inning. Thompson struck out eight in three.
Parkway (10-14, 2-6) hosts Glenbrook Thursday at 6. Huntington dropped to 3-16 and 0-8.
At Plain Dealing, the Lady Lions had six hits. Sanaa Lyles had a double.
Plain Dealing (14-6) visits Lincoln Prep Thursday at 3:30.
