High school boys basketball: Airline rallies past Minden in thriller; Bossier, Haughton win

The Airline Vikings, Bossier Bearkats and Haughton Bucs were victorious Tuesday night.

Airlines edged Minden 48-46 in a thriller at Airline, Bossier eased past Ouachita Parish 58-50 at Bossier and Haughton routed New Living Word 66-26 at New Living Word.

At Airline, Eli Washington stole a pass then hit a long 3-pointer late in the game to lift the Vikings to the victory.

Airline hit a free throw to get within one. The Vikings twice almost forced turnovers before Washington intercepted a pass near midcourt. He hit the shot after receiving a pass and swished it.

Minden had a chance to win but a contested 3-pointer from the baseline hit the rim and the Vikings controlled the rebound.

Kevin White led Airline with 17 points. Washington had 11.

At Bossier, TJ Bunnery led four Bearkats in double figures with 13 points. Braylen Robinson added 11. Ron Dillard and DT Thomas had 10 each.

The Bearkats improved to 4-2 with their third straight victory.

At New Living Word, James Alexander led nine Haughton players who scored with 15 points. Hayden Lippolis and Jacob Attawaway added 12 and 11, respectively. D’Merrion Gladney scored eight.

Haughton improved to 4-5.
