High school boys basketball: (Updated) Haughton, PCA win

The Haughton Bucs and Providence Classical Academy Knights won Tuesday night.

Haughton edged Mansfield 62-60 at Haughton, and PCA got by Glenbrook 49-46 at PCA.

Elsewhere, Parkway suffered a tough 52-51 loss to Neville at Parkway, Airline fell to Red River 61-54 at Red River, Benton fell to Southwood 48-42 at Benton and Plain Dealing lost to Converse 74-50 at Plain Dealing.

At Haughton, Hayden Lippolis led the Bucs (8-7) with 29 points. James Alexander added 12. Joshua Marshall scored six of his nine points in the fourth quarter. Jacob Attaway chipped in seven.

Mansfield dropped to 6-9. Haughton plays Minden Friday at 7 in the Swords and Stripes Shootout at Haughton.

At PCA, the Knights improved to 5-12. PCA hosts North DeSoto Monday.

At Parkway, Antonio Gladney had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Caleb Evans scored 15 and had three assists.

Kaleb Williams had 10 points and four steals. Tristan Sedberry had eight points and six rebounds.

Parkway (7-7) visits Mansfield Friday. Neville improved to 12-6.

At Red River, Kevin White poured in 27 points to lead Airline. Eli Washington added 11.

The Vikings got into an early hole. Red River led 24-6 after the first quarter and 36-17 at the half.

White scored 10 points in the third quarter and nine in the fourth but a second-half rally fell short.

Demarche Newton and Collin Stafford led Red River (9-5) with 13 and 12 points, respectively. Stafford had four of the Bulldogs’ eight 3-pointers.

Airline (8-8) is playing in the Jonesboro-Hodge tournament which begins Thursday.

At Benton, the Tigers dropped to 8-7. Southwood improved to 6-7. Benton is playing in the Haughton tournament.
