The annual Battle on the Hardwood Classic starts Thursday at Parkway.

Parkway was the 2024-25 non-select Division I runner-up. The Lady Panthers opened the season under new Head Coach Brittney Dukes Tuesday with a 40-39 victory over 2025-25 non-select Division IV runner-up Arcadia.
Opelousas J.S. Clark Leadership Academy was a select Division IV semifinalist last season.
Captain Shreve (non-select Division I) and Mansfield (non-select Division III) reached the quarterfinals of their respective divisions.
Southern Lab guard Asia Patton and Huntington guard Kyndal Graham are considered among the state’s top players.
