High school girls basketball: Four parish teams notch victories

The Airline Lady Vikings, Haughton Lady Bucs, Parkway Lady Panthers and Providence Classical Academy Lady Knights picked up victories Monday.

Airline defeated Bossier 62-38 at Airline. Haughton won two games in Texas, defeating West Mesquite 57-30 and Tyler 50-32. The Lady Bucs have won 10 in a row.

Parkway defeated Dutchtown 52-29 in the Alexandria tournament. PCA defeated Many 49-39 in the St. Mary’s tournament.

At Airline, three Lady Viikings scored in double figures. Karliyah Woodard had 17 points, Addison McDowell 16 and Ke’Zyriah Sykes 14.

Zamarion Carter led Bossier with 26.

Airline improved to 3-6. Bossier dropped to 5-5.

Skylar Branch poured in 24 points in Haughton’s victory over West Mesquite. She had 14 in the third quarter, including two 3-pointers.

Sariah Shannon and Kyndal Gladney scored 11 and 10, respectively.

Branch scored 21 against Tyler. Bella Hammond added nine. Shannon and Aliyah Delaney scored eight each.

Haughton improved to 12-5.

Parkway raised its record to 9-6 with its victory. PCA improved to 11-9.
