In a moment of surprise and jubilation, Parkway High senior Addison Norcross received news of her acceptance to the prestigious U.S. Military Academy at West Point. The unexpected announcement came during a phone call from U.S. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, who had the honor of personally delivering the news to Addison.
Accompanied by legislative assistant and representatives from the state government, Addison was presented with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition to commemorate her appointment to West Point. The presence of Senator Alan Seabaugh and Representative Dennis Bamburg added to the significance of the occasion, highlighting the bipartisan support and recognition of Addison’s achievement.
