For its tenth year of thrills and chills, The Devil’s Knot Haunted Trail added a surprising, less terrifying twist to its October programming by launching “All Lights No Scares” nights—perfect for the faint-hearted.

Each Sunday evening in October, the popular outdoor haunt offered families and nervous newcomers at ease with lighted hayride tours from 6–10 p.m., featuring no actors or frights. Tickets ran $20 for adults and $15 for children aged 10 and under. The event, now part of the trail’s season-long attractions, welcomed visitors to enjoy spooky scenery free of scares.

Owner Lisa Weaver described the new offering as a fun complement to their traditional haunted experience. “We wanted to give everyone a chance to enjoy the trail—especially families and first-timers,” she said. “After ten years, we know that the thrill of the woods can be enjoyed at any comfort level.”

Founded in 2015 and now in its tenth season, The Devil’s Knot Haunted Trail has built a reputation for immersive horror, including recent attractions like “Hillbilly Hell.” The “All Lights No Scares” nights opened the trails to a wider audience, offering all the ambiance of fall with a more accessible pace.

Community response was immediate. Weaver added, “We’ve had folks tell us their kids were too scared before—but this year, everyone’s excited to come out together.”

Historically, the trail drew thrill-seekers from across Northwest Louisiana, generating buzz with ticket tiers up to $60 for VIP access and exclusive first-in-line entry. This year’s inclusive addition shows a shift toward broadening appeal beyond adrenaline junkies.

By the end of October, organizers expect “All Lights No Scares” to become a regular fixture—pairing reassuring charm with the trail’s spooky charm. After all, even ten seasons in, The Devil’s Knot continues to find new ways to surprise its fans.
