The 2025 Holiday Season later this year gets even better with the
addition of Natalie Davis Day! Mayor Hunter Timms is proud to proclaim December 14th, 2025 as
Natalie Davis Day after the passing of Resolution 11 of 2025 at the regular scheduled Haughton Town
Council meeting on May 13th. December 14th, Natalie’s birthday, will be a day celebrated in the Town
of Haughton to honor her outstanding athletic achievements, her role in advancing women’s
sports, and her lasting impact on our community. Natalie Davis has distinguished herself as a
dedicated and formidable wrestler at Haughton High School over her four-year career including
achieving historical milestones by finishing the wrestling season with an impressive record of 32-1.

Natalie has been an exemplary ambassador for women’s wrestling in Louisiana, making
significant contributions to the recognition and growth of the sport, including advocating in
Washington D.C. for its advancement.

In addition to the above, on February 15, 2025, Natalie became the first-ever Louisiana
High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) state champion in the girls’ 120 lbs weight class, setting
a high standard for future athletes! Natalie’s achievements have not only elevated the sport of
wrestling within our community but have also served as an inspiration for young athletes,
especially girls, who aspire to excel in sports!
