Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office Welcomes Six New Hires to Our Team

The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office proudly added six new employees today during
a ceremony held at the Bossier Parish Courthouse. The new hires include
Alexander Edwards, Derrick Green and Ashley Thrift as Deputies, Simon Ober
and Landyn Pierce as Corrections Officers, and Trisha Monceaux as a Dispatcher.

Sheriff Julian Whittington congratulated the new hires, saying, “These men and
women have taken an important step in choosing a career dedicated to service,
integrity, and the safety of our community. We are proud to welcome them to the
Bossier Sheriff’s Office and look forward to the positive impact they will make.”

Family, friends, and members of the Sheriff’s Office were on hand to witness the
oath of office as each new employee officially began their careers with BSO.

To apply to be a Deputy, applicants must be 21 years of age. However, the Bossier
Sheriff’s Office does offer a Corrections Officer position that only requires the
