Work crews repaired the 4-inch water main break in the 100 block of Platt Drive shortly
after the break. The affected area of the advisory will be homes north of Platt Drive,
Taylor Bend, and Lee Lane.
Water samples have been collected and taken to the Louisiana Department of Health
laboratory in Shreveport for testing.
Residents are urged to follow these procedures until the advisory is lifted.
Customers should boil water for at least one minute before using it for:
Drinking
Cooking
Making ice
Brushing teeth
Washing fruits and vegetables
Residents may also use bottled water as an alternative.
The advisory will remain in effect until water quality testing confirms the system is safe
and the Louisiana Department of Health authorizes its removal.
