Bossier Parish Fire District #1 is welcoming high school students to stay the week with them and become inspired and empowered as they learn all about Law Enforcement, Fire & EMS Careers. The high school girl’s week will be June 10th through June 14th. The high school boy’s week will be June 17th through June 21st.

“The primary goal of our camp is to provide young men & women with insight into careers as first responders,” said Ashley Kennington, Fire Prevention Officer of Bossier Parish Fire District #1 and director of Camp Spark “Our main objective at Camp Spark is that the youth will leave with a sense of empowerment and the self-confidence to believe that they can achieve any goal, career or dream they desire.”

According to BPFD1:

We aim to provide our cadets with a comprehensive information, inspiration, education, and hands-on experiences that accurately depict the physical demands of the Fire, EMS, & Law Enforcement careers. Cadets will have the opportunity to do things that they may never have done before, in relation to these service professions.
