The Parkway Lady Panthers fell to the Captain Shreve Lady Gators 47-42 in the championship game of the “Doc” Edwards Memorial Invitational Saturday night at Airline.
Khia Thomas led Parkway (7-6) with 16 points. She scored 15 in the second half.
Parkway trailed 22-15 at the half after a four-point second quarter.
Thomas scored eight in the third but Shreve (9-2) kept pace and led 34-28 going into the fourth.
Thomas scored seven in the fourth but the Lady Gators held on for the victory.
Leah Bryant led Shreve with 17 points.
