Bossier City Reports Tragic Incident Involving a Male and Female

The Bossier City Police Department responded to an incident on Wednesday night, May 8, at approximately 9:20 p.m. Officers were dispatched to Scenic Overlook No. 1 after receiving a 911 hang-up call.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a male and female subject inside a vehicle, both suffering from gunshot wounds to the head. Regrettably, the female subject was found deceased at the scene, while the male subject was still alive and rushed immediately to LSU University Health.

Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, he shortly thereafter succumbed to his injuries. Bossier City Police Detectives swiftly initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event. Based on preliminary findings, it appears to be a case of murder-suicide. The identities of the individuals involved are being withheld pending notification of their next of kin.
