Bossier Sheriff’s Office Investigating Body Found in Red Chute Bayou

Investigators with the Bossier Sheriff’s Office are investigating a case involving a body that was found in
Red Chute Bayou in the Stockwell/Dogwood area of Bossier Parish. A land surveyor located the body on
Wednesday, May 8th, entangled in the brush near a railroad trestle. The body appears to be that of a
black male who is about six feet tall in his late twenties or early thirties. The body was removed from the
bayou by the Bossier Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol.

A tentative identification of the body has been made but will be confirmed by the Bossier Coroner’s
Office. The investigation will continue pending autopsy results.
