The City of Bossier City is gearing up to recognize two distinguished community leaders on what has been designated as “Black American Leadership Recognition Day.” During the upcoming City Council Meeting on Tuesday, Mayor Chandler and City Councilman Jeffrey Darby will lead the proceedings by presenting proclamations of recognition to Mr. Glenn D. Stroud and Ms. Yvonne M. Bartley.
These commendations will honor Mr. Stroud and Ms. Bartley for their exemplary leadership, significant contributions, and impactful activism within the community and the city. The initiative to recognize these individuals was spearheaded by Councilman Jeffrey Darby, who represents District 2. Councilman Darby expressed gratitude to his fellow Council members for their unanimous support of the recognitions.
