The Bossier Bearkats will look to advance to the quarterfinals of the non-select Division III boys playoffs Tuesday.

Bossier (16-3-1), the No. 4 seed, hosts No. 13 Sterlington (12-7-4) at 5 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.

The Bearkats defeated the Panthers 2-0 on Jan. 29 at home in the regular-season finale. That match decided the District 1 championship.

Bossier rolled past No. 9 Port Allen 8-0 in the first round last week.

Wilson Alvarado scored three goals for the Bearkats.

Osman Padilla-Hernandez, Johny Hernandez, Oscar Alvarega, Luca Sifentus and Jean Carlos Contreras scored one apiece.

Hernandez, Alvarado and David Rojas all had one assist.

Sterlington defeated No. 20 Livonia 1-0.

Bossier was the Division III runner-up last year. The Bearkats have reached at least the quarterfinals four straight seasons.

The Haughton boys and Parkway girls play second-round matches in Monroe Wednesday.

District 1 champion Haughton (13-5-3), the No. 12 seed, visits No. 5 Neville (12-3-3) in Division II.

Parkway (14-7-2), the No. 9 seed, visits No. 8 Ouachita Parish (16-9-2) in Division II.

Both matches start at 5:30.

Haughton defeated No. 21 A.J. Ellender 3-1 in the first round last week.

Abdal Zidan scored two goals and Quinn Woodrow one. Carter Ebarb assisted on all three.

Neville defeated No. 28 Ruston 7-1.

Parkway defeated No. 24 Liberty 5-0 in the first round. Ouachita Parish defeated No. 25 Northwood 6-0.

The Lady Panthers will be looking to avenge a 4-2 loss to the Lady Lions on Nov. 28 in Monroe. Parkway finished the regular season strong, suffering only one loss in its last nine matches. Ouachita Parish won seven straight before losing its final two marches.

The Lady Panthers reached the quarterfinals last season, falling to eventual champion St. Thomas More.
