Bossier Council on Aging is proud to announce an expansion of its Home Delivered Meals Program, increasing service from five meals per week to seven meals per week for eligible seniors. This enhancement is effective January 1, 2026, through June 30, 2026, and is made possible through one-time allocation funding from Representative Raymond Crews, along with strong budgetary support from the Bossier Council on Aging Board of Directors.

This expansion allows Bossier Council on Aging to become the first program in NWLA to provide seven home-delivered meals each week, ensuring greater food security and improved nutrition for our most vulnerable residents. Priority for the expanded service is given to those with the greatest need.

While the additional funding currently supports the program through June 30, 2026, Bossier Council on Aging is hopeful that continued support from grants, fundraising, and donations will allow the seven-meal service to continue beyond that date.

The Home Delivered Meals Program serves adults age 60 and older who are homebound and unable to prepare meals for themselves. By delivering nutritious meals directly to clients’ homes, the program supports independence, health, and overall quality of life.

Individuals or caregivers who believe they may qualify for home-delivered meals are encouraged to visit our website www.bossiercoa.org and make a referral for more information and eligibility assistance.
