Residents in Bossier Parish can feel confident about what’s coming out of their taps. The
Louisiana Department of Health has given all five water systems managed by the Bossier
Parish Police Jury a Grade “A” for water quality based on last year’s performance.
The Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage Districts No. 1 and No. 2, along with the
Dogwood South, East & West Central, and Village water systems, all earned the top
rating.
The state’s grading process looks closely at how well systems meet federal and state
standards, along with how they’re operated and maintained. Across the board, Bossier
Parish’s systems performed strongly, with only minimal deductions during this detailed
review.
“This is something our whole parish can be proud of,” said Police Jury President Tom
Salzer. “Our teams work every day to make sure families have safe, reliable drinking
water, and this recognition shows that commitment is paying off. It’s about protecting
public health and giving people peace of mind.”
Clean, dependable water is a basic necessity, but it also plays a bigger role—supporting
local businesses, attracting new families, and helping the parish continue to grow.
The Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage Districts No. 1 and No. 2 will continue their
work to maintain and improve infrastructure, ensuring that residents receive high-quality
water for years to come.
