Louisiana State Senator Adam Bass, who represents the 36th State Senate District, was the featured guest speaker at the Bossier City Lions Club’s weekly meeting on Thursday, October 16, where he spoke not only about legislative updates but also shared a heartfelt personal testimony that resonated deeply with attendees.
During the meeting, held at the group’s regular gathering place, Sen. Bass provided insight into recent developments from the latest legislative session, highlighting issues that impact Bossier Parish and the broader northwest Louisiana community. However, much of his time at the podium was devoted to sharing his faith journey and how it continues to guide his work in public service.
While he addressed important topics from Baton Rouge, Bass’s message centered on faith, perseverance, and service, emphasizing how his relationship with Christ has influenced both his personal life and his commitment to the people he represents.
“It’s not just about politics or policy—it’s about purpose,” Bass shared. “I’m here to serve with integrity and to make a positive difference in the lives of those in my district and across Louisiana.”
The Bossier City Lions Club, part of Lions Clubs International, has long been a cornerstone of community service in the area. Founded with the mission of fostering volunteerism, the club supports numerous local causes, including vision programs, youth outreach, and civic engagement initiatives. The weekly meetings serve as a platform for civic leaders, elected officials, and community advocates to connect and share updates that impact the region.
Sen. Bass, a Republican from Bossier Parish, was elected to the State Senate in 2023, representing parts of Bossier, Webster, and Claiborne parishes.
The meeting concluded with a time of fellowship and reflection, as members discussed Bass’s testimony and the importance of faith-driven leadership in government and community service.
Through both his legislative work and his openness in sharing his faith, Sen. Bass left attendees encouraged and reminded of the power of unity, service, and conviction in shaping a stronger Louisiana.
