The Ark-La-Tex faith community came together in powerful fashion this past weekend as the Ignite Tour lit up Cypress Baptist Church in Benton with a night of worship, praise, and unity across denominational lines.

Hundreds of believers from churches throughout the Shreveport-Bossier area and beyond filled the sanctuary, raising their voices together in what many described as a glimpse of Heaven on earth. The event, featuring anointed artists and speakers, was more than just a concert — it was a testimony to the strength of the Body of Christ when believers gather as one.

For Cypress Baptist Church, which hosted the event, the Ignite Tour carried deep spiritual meaning. Stacy Loe, Creative Team Associate at Cypress, said the church was humbled to provide the space for what turned out to be a life-changing night.

“We love having the opportunity to worship with Christians from all over the area and from different denominations,” Loe said. “It’s like a glimpse of what it will be like in Heaven! We pray events like this will unify us as believers in Jesus and be an encouragement to everyone who attends.”

The message of the Gospel remained central throughout the evening. Loe noted that the true goal of the event was not simply music, but transformation.

“We hope that people left understanding the message of the gospel — that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who lived a perfect life, died for our sins, and rose again,” she said. “If we choose to make Him Lord of our life, we can be forgiven and have eternal life. We also pray attendees left encouraged to share this message with others.”

The concert drew young and old alike, with many noting the powerful effect it had on the next generation of believers. Watching multiple churches and age groups worship side by side left an impression on teens and children in attendance.

“When young people see believers of all ages and backgrounds come together to worship, it moves them to grow deeper in their faith and devotion to Christ,” Loe explained.

Hosting the Ignite Tour was a natural fit for Cypress Baptist, which has a long history of opening its doors for worship gatherings and Christian concerts. The church views its facility as a blessing meant to serve the community.

“God has blessed our church with an incredible facility that allows us to host events like this,” Loe said. “It’s our desire to be a place where people can gather to worship, grow, heal, and be empowered to share the Gospel and impact our community for the glory of God.”

The night ended with a sense of renewed purpose and hope, as attendees were encouraged not only to celebrate their faith but also to live it out boldly in their communities. Loe said what excites the church most is the possibility that seeds of faith were planted in hearts.

“We hope people brought friends and family who are seeking to know more about Jesus,” she said. “We know they heard the Gospel, and their lives could be changed forever.”

With its blend of heartfelt worship, biblical truth, and a spirit of unity, the Ignite Tour left a lasting mark on the Shreveport-Bossier community. For many, it was a reminder that when the church comes together — regardless of denomination — the light of Christ shines brightest.
